Launch the Viber app. Look for the Viber app on your smartphone. It’s the one with the app icon with the purple background and with a phone inside a chat box. Tap on it to launch it.

Go to More options. From the bottom menu, tap the icon with the three dots to reach Viber’s extended menu.

Go to Viber Out. From the More menu, tap the “Viber Out” item.

Check your credit balance. The Viber Out screen displays your current Credit Balance. This is the amount of money you have for use with Viber Out.

• Calling using Viber Out costs real money, and you need to have some prepaid credits to use it.

Buy credit. If you don’t have any credit or will like to load some, tap the “Buy Credit” button beside your Credit Balance. A menu of prepaid credit values will be displayed. Tap the one you’d like to buy.

• You have three options to choose from $0.99, $4.99, and $9.99.

Pay for the credit. Follow the on-screen steps to complete your purchase. Once the purchase is completed, the credit amount you’ve just bought will be added to your Credit Balance.

Open iTunes. Click the blue or red (music note) iTunes shortcut from your computer’s desktop to launch the application and show all the media library contents like music, videos, and applications saved on your computer.

Connect your iPhone to your computer. Using your iPhone’s data cable, connect the smaller end to a small port at the bottom of your phone and the other end to a vacant USB port on your computer. Once connected, your iTunes will start to sync with your iPhone.

View all the apps on your iPhone. Once iTunes has completed syncing your device, tap your iPhone’s name under “Devices” on the left-hand panel of iTunes to view your iPhone’s contents.

• Tap “Apps” on the upper section of the iTunes window, and this will display all the apps currently installed on your iPhone.

Delete Viber. Find Viber’s purple phone icon from the list of apps installed on your iPhone, and click the “X” icon that will appear on its top left corner to delete it from your iPhone.

• Tap the “Apply” button on the lower right-hand corner of the iTunes window to sync your iTunes and iPhone again, and save the changes you’ve made.

Open the Springboard. Press the “Unlock” button at the topside of your iPhone and swipe to the right across the device screen to unlock the phone and show the Springboard.

Find the Viber app. Swipe left or right across the Springboard and find the app with purple phone icon. This is the app shortcut of Viber.

Delete the app. Tap and hold the Viber icon for a few seconds, and all the apps on the Springboard will start shaking. When this happens, tap the “X” icon that will appear on the top left corner of Viber’s app icon to delete it from your iPhone.

Download Viber for PC or Mac at Viber’s website and install it. Viber requires that you have it set up on a mobile phone before it can be installed on your computer. This is because your phone number is used to contact you in both places.

Open the application and begin the setup process. Viber will ask for the phone number of the device that it was set up on previously. Once you’ve typed it in, it will send a four digit code to the Viber app on your mobile device. Type it in and the set up process will be complete.

Select a contact in your list to start a text, call or a video conversation. Clicking the Call button will start a voice call. Users with a webcam can choose to make a video call by pressing the Video button. To send a text, type your message at the bottom of the window, and click Send.

Click the Messages app to start a text conversation with one or multiple people.Just like in the mobile app, you’re able to choose who you’d like to include in your conversation by clicking each name. A check will appear next to everyone included. Once you’ve chosen all the recipients, click Start Conversation.

Tap on Messages to start a text conversation with one or multiple people. Select everyone in your contacts list who you’d like to include and then tap Done. Selected contacts will be displayed at the top of the screen, as well as show red checks by their names. Tap on a contact and choose Free Call to begin a voice call. If you haven’t yet made a call, you’ll be asked if Viber can access your microphone. Select “OK” to proceed with the call.

Select Keypad to manually enter a telephone number of another Viber user.Viber isn’t able to make phone calls to non-Viber users and if it’s not able to find a Viber account with the entered number, you’ll be prompted to make the call using your regular carrier.

Install Viber on your mobile device. Once Viber has been downloaded, tapping on the app will begin the setup process. Input your device’s telephone number and grant access to your contact list, then you’ll be sent a text message with an access code.

Input the access code you receive via text message. You’re all set up! Now you’ll see a number of options at the bottom of the app including Messages, Recents, Contacts and Keypad.

Tap the Contacts button to see all of the people in your phone’s contacts who currently use Viber. Tapping on a contact will give two distinct options. Free Call, and Free Text. Selecting either of these options will automatically begin a call or a text conversation with that person.
